Metropolitan Community Church Metro Baguio

The Metropolitan Community Church (MCC) in Baguio City, Philippines was established on January 30, 2009 under the guidance of the MCC-Quezon City. It is a growing community of dedicated workers who believes that God's love and compassion knows no gender nor sexual orientation.

Also known internationally as the UNIVERSAL FELLOWSHIP OF METROPOLITAN COMMUNITY CHURCHES (UFMCC), it led in the Christian sexual minority's struggle for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender (LGBT) rights and equality. Founded by Rev. Troy Perry in 1968 with 12 people gathered for a worship service at his living room in California, the MCC today has grown to 43,000 members and advocates in almost 300 congregations in 22 countries.

The MCC in the Philippines was established by Rev. Fr. Richard Mickley in 1991. MCC-Manila (now MCC Philippines) was the first LGBT Church established in the Asia region and instrumental in leading the first LGBT Pride parade in Asia. Today, MCC has 4 congregation in the Philippines: Makati City, Quezon City, Baguio City and Dasmarinas. Over the years, the MCC's prophetic witness has forever changed the face of Christendom, ministering and bringing the Good News of God's immeasurable and unconditional love to the queer community everywhere.
